Mandarin, FL screen enclosures & outdoor living contractor
Oak-lined streets, riverfront yards, and homes with room to spread out. We build screen enclosures, lanais, and sunrooms that make those spaces usable.
- Outdoor Living in Mandarin
Take back your outdoor space.
Mandarin has a certain feel to it. Big oak trees draped in Spanish moss. Homes tucked back from the road. Yards that stretch out toward the river. People move here because they want space and character—but space comes with its own set of challenges when you live in Florida. The sun gets intense, humidity hangs in the air, and bugs find their way into everything.
At Colonial Construction, we help Mandarin homeowners take back their outdoor spaces. We build screen enclosures, lanais, and sunrooms that let families enjoy their yards without all the things that usually send them back inside. We focus on quality that lasts and designs that work for how you actually live.
- About Mandarin, FL
One of Jacksonville's oldest and most scenic areas.
Mandarin sits along the St. Johns River and is one of Jacksonville’s oldest and most scenic areas. Oak-lined streets wind through neighborhoods, riverfront homes catch breezes off the water, and yards tend to be spacious—room to garden, host gatherings, or just enjoy being outside.
The neighborhood has a mix of older historic homes and newer construction. Local shops add charm, parks give people places to gather, and families and retirees alike find something to love here.
Mandarin’s beauty comes with conditions, though. Strong sun beats down on open yards, humidity stays high for much of the year, and storms roll through with wind and rain. Without protection, even the nicest outdoor space can feel unusable for long stretches.
- Screen Enclosures, Lanais & Sunrooms
Structures made for oaks, river breezes, and storm season.
We build screen enclosures specifically for Mandarin homes—strong frames that do not buckle in wind, durable screens that stay tight through sun exposure and rain. Pools, patios, and backyard areas become protected zones where you can actually spend time: meals outside, gatherings with neighbors, quiet afternoons with a book, all without worrying about pests or debris.
Lanais give you covered space that works for daily activities. Shade cuts down on heat, glare is reduced, and furniture and flooring stay protected from harsh sunlight. Many families use their lanai as an outdoor dining room, a lounge area, or a spot for small get-togethers.
Sunrooms offer indoor comfort with outdoor views—morning coffee in a bright space, a reading nook that catches natural light, a spot for hobbies or casual entertaining. We build them with materials made for Florida’s heat and humidity, and sealed construction that keeps insects and moisture where they belong.
Every project starts with a site assessment. We look at your yard, your home, and how you want to use the space, then design something that fits: low maintenance, durable, and built for year-round comfort.
